        ICD-11 isn\u2019t just an issue for your HIM \/ MRM staff!<\/span><\/p>\n

              Coders need training! Accurate coding is provided by skilled professionals who need and deserve proper training. Do not let inexperienced coders fumble around assigning ICD-11 codes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ATTENDING THE ICD 10 TRAINING & WORKSHOP?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Since many seasoned ICD-11 coders are likely to leave the ranks for various reasons, an influx of brand new coders will be making the coding decisions in our hospitals and for our healthcare industry. These coders are desperate for education.  Many participants of my ICD-11 training and workshops have had NO previous coding instruction at all, yet they are assigning ICD-11 codes in patients\u2019 medical records on a daily basis!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Remember, coding is more than numbers on documents.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Accurate coding will mean better:<\/span><\/p>\n

                WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ATTENDING THE ICD 10 TRAINING & WORKSHOP?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                After the ICD-11 training and workshop, your coders will gain proficiency when they are assigning ICD-11 codes, but organisations must make sure that they have the tools they need to assign those codes properly.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                10.1<\/span><\/strong>
                REQUIREMENTS FOR ORGANISATIONS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                10.1.1
                <\/strong><\/span>Electronic Tools: Organisations should utilise electronic tools provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), such as the ICD-11 Coding Tool and Browser. These tools facilitate accurate code selection and reduce the need for manual code memorisation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                10.1.2<\/strong><\/span>
                IT Infrastructure<\/strong>: Ensure that the IT infrastructure is capable of supporting ICD-11 implementation. This includes assessing the capacity for automated coding systems and manual coding when necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                10.1.3<\/strong><\/span>
                Resource Allocation:<\/strong> Allocate necessary resources for coder training and IT support. This includes budgeting for training programs and ensuring that IT staff are involved in relevant training sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                10.1.4<\/strong><\/span>
                In-Person Training:<\/strong> Arrange for in-person training by experienced nosologists to complement online tools. This should be scheduled to coincide with the start of ICD-11 coding activities.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
